Consignment Terms
General Conditions: The Consignor agrees to deliver goods to be sold by Dwelling. Dwelling agrees to place consignor's merchandise in store for sale. Dwelling will remit a percentage of the selling price (50% on all items under $5,000 and 60% on items $5000.00 and above) to the consignor. Acceptance of merchandise for sale is at the discretion of Dwelling. The Consignment Contract will remain in effect for the period stated on the contract. Consignor understands that while Dwelling agrees to use its best efforts to obtain a sale of the consigned merchandise, there is no guarantee a sale will occur.
Merchandise Pricing: In determining the initial selling price of items, Dwelling will consider such factors as brand, age, condition, market demand, etc.
Consignment Term: The consignment term is 90 days. The consignment term is listed on the contract. Merchandise not sold in 30 days will be marked down 10%; merchandise not sold in 60 days will be marked down an additional 10%. Both markdowns are from the original selling price. Consignors may not pick up unsold merchandise before consignment term expiration.
Payment: Payment checks for monthly sales will be mailed to Consignors no later than the 15th day of the following month. A $3.00 payment processing fee will be applied to each payment check mailed. If a payment check is lost in a mail, Dwelling will issue a replacement check for a fee of $30.00.
